Sarah, are you “Strom Thurmond From Beyond”? Because that was the only light in a dark, dark tunnel. It’s been awhile since I let myself read (or read for ten minutes and then skim) through such a mess of hateful self-righteousness. That’s one of the things that Internetty does best. I also enjoyed “Shalim al Hassim” – he sure stirred up the ol’ honeypot.
I’m not Strom Thurmond. I decided not to get involved with it. Do you think we’ll ever have hundreds of hateful comments? ...Five hateful comments? ....Not that I want hateful comments.
I remember in the old days of the Internetty when it was all about the newsgroups. rn and nn were the big “news reading” clients, and the newsgroups were composed of 10% insight and information, and 90% of the exact same flame-filled hate-mongery that is attached to that story. I guess all I’m saying is, I got out of touch with the internet, but it didn’t let that change it.
